Community Comes Together for a Memorable First Iftar Event – Ramadan 2025
26-Mar-2025 Kuchchaveli, Sri Lanka – In a heartwarming display of unity and generosity, the inaugural Iftar event was successfully held, marking a significant milestone as the first project of Riaya Foundation. The event brought together individuals from diverse backgrounds to break their fast and celebrate the spirit of Ramadan.
The gathering was graced by notable figures, including the Chairperson of the organizing committee Mr. A. K. Haffar (BA, PGDE), the Divisional Secretary of Kuchchaveli Hon Mr. Siyaul Haque (SLAS) as the Chief Guest, and the Office In-Charge of Kuchchaveli Police Mr. Asela Kunathilaka as the Special Guest. Their presence emphasized the importance of collaboration and community-building during the holy month.
Organized with the aim of fostering community bonds and promoting inclusivity, the event featured a variety of activities, including a communal prayer, a keynote speech on the values of Ramadan, and a shared meal that highlighted traditional dishes.
